Kyle Haber of Dubuque Senior and Wyatt Lohaus of Iowa City West shared Athlete of the Year honors in the Mississippi Division of the Mississippi Valley Conference in boys’ basketball this season.
Coaches selected the all-MVC teams, which were released Thursday. Senior’s Wendell Eimers was selected Mississippi Division Coach of the Year.
In the Valley Division, Dubuque Wahlert sophomore Cordell Pemsl was named Athlete of the Year and Wahlert’s Tom English division Coach of the Year.
First-team picks in the Mississippi Division included Cedar Rapids Kennedy’s A.J. Carter, Cedar Rapids Jefferson’s Jacob Olson and West’s David DiLeo. Carter, Lohaus, DiLeo and Haber were unanimous selections.
Linn-Mar’s Jordan Bohannon and Cedar Rapids Xavier’s Adam McDermott were unanimous picks, along with Pemsl, as first-teamers in the Valley Division. Cedar Rapids Prairie’s Mike Mims also was named to the first team.
